Greetings to Rotarians and Visitors!
Welcome to the Boone Sunrise Rotary Club Web Site. We're delighted you're interested in our programs and activities, and we extend an invitation for you to be our guest at a regular breakfast meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am at the Broyhill Conference Center in Boone, North Carolina. Except for major holiday periods, we meet year-round.
For a mid-size Rotary club, we participate in a remarkable number of projects throughout the year. Our members are involved in and provide the following services....................

Annual scholarships for Watauga High School Seniors to attend a college of their choice.

Caldwell Community College Dream Scholarship for Watauga County students to attend college.

Dictionaries given to all Watauga County seventh grade students (a multi-club project with other area service clubs).
- Participation in the “Adopt-a-Stream” campaign where the club cleans a prominent portion of the New River on the Boone Greenway.

Rotary Foundation which supports worthy International projects including funding of Rotary's Polio Plus Program to eliminate polio throughout the world.

Shelter Boxes ~ a three room domed-tent with supplies for an entire family sent by Rotary to countries devastated by natural disasters.
- C.A.R.T (Coins for Alzheimers Research Trust) Rotarians in 5 southern states give their pocket change or bills each week with the funds toward "seed" money for high impact research in hopes of finding a cure/prevention for Alzheimer's disease.

Hospitality House of Boone ~ a private, non-profit crisis intervention agency that assists adults and families in homeless situations.

Appalachian State University Rotaract Club ~ a college service club that is an extension of Rotary.

Watauga High School Interact Club ~ a high school service club that is an extension of Rotary (co-sponsored with Boone Rotary Club).

Sponsoring one or more Watauga High School students to attend the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Conference in Brevard, NC each summer.
- Bukoba,Tanzania Water Project, supporting a water collecting facility to improve the quality of life for Bukota prople.
- Habitat for Humanity ~ participation in work days building homes in our community.
The Boone Sunrise Rotary "Great Fruit for a Great Cause" ~ our only annual fundraiser that generates over $8,000 profit to support the local and international programs listed above.
We are committed to serving our local community while at the same time supporting Rotary International in building goodwill and providing humanitarian services throughout the world.
