Greetings to Rotarians and Visitors!

Welcome to the Boone Sunrise Rotary Club Web Site. We're delighted you are interested in our programs and activities, and we extend an invitation to you to join us at our regular weekly meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am at the Broyhill Conference Center in Boone, North Carolina. Except for major holiday periods, we meet year-round.

For a mid-size Rotary club, we participate in a remarkable number of projects throughout the year. Our members give their time and energy by .............................

  • Sponsoring one or more young people to attend the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Camp (RYLA) in Brevard, North Carolina each summer
  • Providing scholarships for promising young people to attend Appalachian State University, Caldwell Community College, or a college of their choice
  • The Boone Sunrise Rotary Florida Citrus Sale, our only annual fundraiser that raises over $8,000 to support local and international programs each year
  • Participation in the “Adopt-a-Stream” campaign in which the club cleans a prominent portion of the New River on the Boone Greenway
  • Participation in work days with Habitat for Humanity
  • Sponsorship and participation in Blood Drives for the American Red Cross
  • Providing dictionaries to every Watauga County seventh grade student (a  multi-club project with Boone and Blowing Rock Rotary Clubs)
  • Providing food, cooking and serving meals at Hospitality House, the area homeless shelter
  • Participation in Christmas kettle fund raiser for the Salvation Army during the holidays
  • With the Boone Rotary Club, co-sponsor the Watauga High School Interact Club
  • Project Tanzania, supporting sustainable projects to improve the quality of life for Tanzanian villages through the planting of the Mpingo tree.

We are committed to serving our local community while at the same time supporting Rotary International in building goodwill and providing humanitarian services throughout the world.

You are invited to join us!  We are looking professional leaders who have a strong commitment to making our community and the world a better place. If you are interested in joining the Boone Sunrise Rotary Club, please contact me by phone at (828) 263-8610 or via email, at cbminc676@bellsouth.net  . Or, stop by our meeting on Tuesday morning and be our guest for breakfast.

Thanks again for visiting our site, and we hope to meet you in person soon!

Sincerely,

Bob Miller, President

Boone Sunrise Rotary Club
