Boone Sunrise Rotary Club's Annual Fruit Sale Fundraiser                  

 

                                       "GREAT FRUIT FOR A GREAT CAUSE"

  

The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club's "Great Fruit for a Great Cause" fundraiser is over for 2009. We ordered and distributed 835 cases of fresh Florida fruit. Once again we partnered with Florida Indian River Groves in providing fresh citrus to our patrons.This year's fruit fruit received numerous accolades from customers. And as always, funds from this project go to support Rotary projects in our local community as well as some very worthy international projects. Next Year, look for notications for our fruit sale on this website in mid-October 2010 and in The Watauga Democrat and The Mountain Times. We appreciate your support of this Rotary fundraiser.

 

HOW TO ORDER

We offer four very convenient ways to order your fruit this year:

  • Order Online by going to www.fruitorder.com - credit card orders only, using our secure server. Organization ID 729293. This is the quickest and easiest way to order your fruit.
  • Order from a Club Member - Boone Sunrise Rotary club members will have ordering information. If you know a club member, just contact them and they can take your order. 
  • Order by Phone 
  • Order by Mail by clicking on the "Mail Order Form" link on the left, print out, fill in and mail the order form with your check.    

FRUIT SELECTION

For 2009 we are offering five different choices of boxed fruit: 

  • Naval Oranges
  • Ruby Red Grapefruit
  • Hamlin Juice Oranges
  • Tangelos
  • Mixed Fruit

Our fruit is harvested by Florida Indian River Groves employees only one day prior to its loading and shipment to Boone Sunrise Rotary. Florida Indian River groves has a stellar reputation for delivering fresh, delicious fruit to us each year. FRUIT PRICES FOR 2009 HAVE NOT INCREASED

The boxed fruit is available in small and large case sizes. Prices are: $20 per small case and $30 per large case. Cases of mixed fruit (Grapefruit and Naval Oranges) are available for $25 per small case and $35 per large case. Small cases weigh approximately 20 lbs.and large cases weigh approximately 40 lbs.

IMPORTANT 2009 PICKUP DATES TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR

Please note that pickup of the fruit is scheduled for December 10th and 11th between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm; December 12th between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm; December 13th between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

 

LOCATION FOR FRUIT PICKUP

Fruit will be available for pickup at Legends, located at 190 Hardin Street in Boone (on the campus of Appalachian State University across from the Red Onion Cafe). Thank you for your order and support of community service projects in our local community!
